SCOTLAND BAY
Scotland Bay is the most popular stop off for visitors and locals alike. It is a U-Shaped Bay that hides
many beautiful bathing spots. There is a small mangrove area located deep inside this Bay,
which makes it home to many small fishes, a few sea turtles and even a manta ray or two!
Scotland Bay also has a rich history. It was first gifted to the Tardieu family who were considered the Sea
Royalty Of Trinidad. They lived there for generations and built homes in the bay. In World War II, they were asked to leave when so the US army could occupy this area.
During this occupation, a club/getaway was built there including a tennis
court! There is evidence of these structures that existed decades ago, if you look close enough.
Scotland Bay is also very popular with campers and families with young children as the Bay boasts
some beautiful hidden shorelines. It is one of the areas that we actually can tie off in approximately five (5) feet of water.
